Goodbye Raylib, Hello Godot (v0.4)
The GuildMaster » Devlog
I decided to switch from Raylib to Godot for several reasons:
- Make UI with Raylib is hell, Godot has a great UI system (even if is not very appealing right now).
- More export options (you can play on web right now).
- And because.
Porting all the codebase took a lot of time, but I managed to change everything.
The game is completely different now, look at the project main page I will try to update it soon.
Several things are still missing:
- Not really appealing game (graphics, sound and music).
- No options, no save/load, no main menu, no pause menu.
- Resolution locked
- Create quest is complex (I even create a website to help me generate the json files https://raidez.github.io/).
- Use better assets (right now, I just use free assets from the internet).
- The game is very cluncky you know what I mean.
I already thought about the appeal of the game by remaking scenes. I will probably make small updates to add each scenes one by one.
Oooh, I also renamed the game to "The GuildMaster" because "Never Split the Party" was already a Steam game and yes, I know GuildMaster is also taken but I think it fits the game better.
